Environment

At BOC we strive to differentiate ourselves from our competitors through superior response to the challenges and opportunities presented by environmental and sustainability concerns.

Globally Linde and BOC are committed to managing and reducing the environmental impact of our products and operations.  We strive to achieve this by focusing on the transportation of products, the products we sell to our customers and ensuring that we use energy, resources and materials efficiently.

Through Clean Technology solutions we can focus on the opportunities of sustainability – delivering the environmental and energy innovations to build a more sustainable future today.

BOC in Australia have invested heavily in LNG truck refuelling. With nearly 85 % of Australia’s transport industry on the eastern seaboard BOC have modernised and expanded our existing LNG plant in Dandenong Victoria.  We have subsequently opened two more plants in Westbury Tasmania and in Surat Basin in Queensland.  We have also worked with the trucking industry to develop a network of refuelling stations to serve around 2,000-3,000 trucks – connecting Victoria to Queensland.

BOC is a signatory to the PACIA Responsible Care Guiding Principles – a global chemical industry’s environmental health and safety initiative to drive continuous improvement in performance.  The PACIA Responsible Care Guiding Principles are consistent with the ICCA’s Responsible Care Global Charter.

Linde have also been included in the Dow Jones Sustainability Index in recognition of their work environmentally.
